Kotobee's KPUB file format, is the "document" alternative to standalone ebooks, and the latest addition to the list of export options for ebook formats. Rather than publishing native or standalone ebook apps, it is possible to publish a light-weight (kpub) file and open it through the “Kotobee Reader” app available on the Google Play Store. Since the file is a document, it is easily shared between students, but unable to open unless with the Kotobee Reader which is available for free. KPUB files are the economic alternative to publishing native ebook apps, since it is possible to publish an unlimited number of them by acquiring the web plan and display them on smart devices.
Free version users also have the capability of publishing KPUB ebooks, but for preview purposes only, since they will contain a watermark overlay
