Tell us about yourself and the nature of your work.
I'm a Digital Learning Manager working for Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales. I co-ordinate the digital learning resources created across our seven museums. Over the past few years, we have been upskilling the staff to use their digital skills to create learning resources for schools.
What challenges did you face prior to using Kotobee?
Prior to using Kotobee, our interactive ebooks were limited to Apple devices only.

What potential solutions did you explore which didn't work out?
We used other platforms to create interactive resources, but they were only available to Apple users.
How did you hear about Kotobee?
I found Kotobee by searching for e-publishing platforms on the internet.
What drove you to choose Kotobee?
I liked the flexibility of the platform. We were able to incorporate existing resources and widgets, and make the resource available to any device!

The Results
Is there a specific aspect of your ebook that you are particularly proud of?
I really like how we can showcase areas of our museum collections in galleries and embed widgets and videos. We are working with Kotobee to include a Welsh language interface. Other companies have said they were not able to provide this service. As a bilingual country, this is really important to us.
What metrics do you use to measure the success of your decisions? Has Kotobee affected those in any way?
We measure the analytics and number of downloads. We worked with schools to test our early trials and the feedback was very positive. We were able to share early versions as web links which was so useful.
The Future
What are your plans for the future?
To continue producing more ebooks and to work with Kotobee on creating a Welsh language Kotobee reader and editor.
