We interviewed Yasin Çorbacı, co-founder of Zedne, who shared with us the journey behind the company’s success with Kotobee.

The Challenge

Tell us about yourself and the nature of your work

I'm a cofounder at Zedne, a company that aims to making Arabic language teaching easier and more enjoyable for moms and teachers. We do this by using educational toys, ebooks, and games. I oversee the different operations of the company, from hiring designers and producers to building partnerships with other companies and investors.

What challenges did you face before using Kotobee?

I was searching for an end-to-end platform that could handle everything, from creating and publishing books to analyzing user data. I also needed a program that could integrate the digital library with the company’s website and use Zapier's automation capabilities through APIs. Kotobee was the only solution I found that supported all of the features we needed at an excellent price.

What potential solutions did you explore that didn't work out?

I didn't do hands-on trials with other platforms to be honest, but from my research, other solutions did not fit my budget. More importantly, they were more targeted at chain schools and included many features that we don’t necessarily need

How did you hear about Kotobee?

ChatGpt, actually! I asked it to recommend some platforms that would help me create, publish, and sell my ebooks online, and Kotobee was one of the options it suggested.

What drove you to choose Kotobee?

Additionally, the sales and support teams were friendly and happy to answer all my questions. Finally, Kotobee has been in the industry for over ten years, and that track record reassured me of their reliability.

What specific aspect of your ebook are you most proud of?

Since they’re designed for children, our ebooks contain engaging stories and illustrations that help teach the Arabic language. We worked with top designers, illustrators, and writers to produce the highest quality material and content. Once each ebook was finished, we continued to use Kotobee to publish them to our library and track usage analytics, so we could make any needed improvements.

The Results

What metrics do you use to measure the success of your project? Has Kotobee affected those metrics in any way?

We don't have concrete numbers about the sales rate increase because we haven't yet conducted any extensive marketing campaigns. However, we reached our business goal of having a solid product and increasing our offering to our target audience. From a business perspective, we now have significantly greater potential to increase our revenue.

Also, we're currently using the ebooks we created using Kotobee as a way to promote our toys; for example, if you buy any toy from our store, you will get a free ebook with it. This approach should hopefully increase both our customer retention and satisfaction rates.

The Future

What are your plans for the future?

We plan on making full use of Kotobee’s features to grow our business and offer new, better ebooks in the future. Thanks to Kotobee, we’ve managed to create a full-fledged ebook library that we intend to expand and improve over time.
